If you wait for someone else to travel, you will just be waiting. Go by yourself.- A friend
I remember when I was in high school I would watch Samantha Brown on the Travel Channel. I was fascinated by the places she would visit and I wished that I could visit and see the places she'd been to. After college I became a flight attendant for a regional airline. This job was supposed to be a gig that let me travel the US and pay the bills, but I never used it to travel outside the states. 2007 was the first time that I traveled to another country by myself. I kept complaining that I couldn't get anyone to come travel with me. A friend of mines said, "if you wait for someone else to travel with you, you will just be waiting. Go by yourself." He suggested that I go to the UK first because it was an English speaking country it would be easy to navigate. So I decided to go! Since then I've been to 17 different countries on 5 Continents. I like to travel by myself or sometimes I travel with family and friends. However, my preferential way to travel is solo. Solo travel allows me to take my time to experience my surrounding and to get out of my comfort zone so can talk to people and make friends. Travel helps me to see and experience where I stand in the world as a global citizen.
I encourage you as you read my stories, look at my pictures, and get travel tips, that you will convert to the world of travel
